2014 • 2 teachers in training • CW4WAfghan
GirlsHelpingGirls has partnered with Canadian Women for Women in Afghanistan. 2014 • 1 girl in high school • UNESCO Special Envoy for Haiti
GirlsHelpingGirls has connected with the Right Honourable Michaëlle Jean to establish partners in Haiti to provide scholarships for girls in need. Madame Jean is a former Governor General of Canada and currently the UNESCO Special Envoy for Haiti. As a Haitian-Canadian and as Canada’s second female Governor General, she knows the value of empowering women in Haiti, and is an international female role model.
Through our contact with Madame Jean’s office, we are currently sponsoring one girl, providing her with her tuition, books, uniform (including shoes), and transportation so she can attend l’école St-François d’Asssise in Grand-Goâve, Haïti.

Kisaruni Girls’ School, Kenya
Summer 2012 • 1 girl in high school • Me to We
GirlsHelpingGirls is currently supporting one girl’s entire high school education at the Kisaruni Girls’ Boarding School, through the organizations Me to We and Free the Children. While in Kenya, Susanna got the opportunity to experience the day-to-day lives of the students, as well as listen to the girls’ aspirations for the future.
Winter 2012 • 11 girls in high school • NOAH
After a successful campaign GirlsHelpingGirls raised enough funds to give six girls an entire high school education. We partnered with NOAH, an organization that helps children orphaned by AIDS throughout South Africa to reach for a better future. The partnership with NOAH helped GirlsHelpingGirls select girls who would best use the opportunity. After seeing how well those six girls are doing, we’ve committed to five more girls in South Africa.
